Sheldrake Class

Sheldrakes Weekly newsletter                   13th March 2020

This week:

  • In phonics we have been reading, writing and spelling oi and ear words. For example; coin, soil, hear and beard. We have also been practising all of the tricky words.

  • In maths we have been learning about weight; comparing items and sorting them into light and heavy. We also found ways to balance the scales to make them equal.

  • We enjoyed making dens and playing tennis.

Home learning:

Home learning this week is reading. Try using the measuring language from the last two weeks; tall, short, long, heavy, light, balanced, same as.

Show and Tell:

Show and tell next week will be Kippers group. This is an opportunity for your child to bring in a special item from home to show and talk about to the rest of the class. Please can items only be brought into school on the Tuesday.

Thank you for all of the donations for the Vets role play. The children are absolutely loving their new role play and are really getting into character.

Wishing you all a relaxing weekend.

Kindest Regards

Mrs Shannon and Mrs Dowman
